Dear Mother. I was called down here by Catherine’s illness. She had a serious attack of nephritis – not due to anything excepting a cold that somehow settled in her kidneys. The doctors gave her up once + they had 2 consultations. She is quite recovered now but will have to be careful a long while. The doctors here say she ought to winter in a warm climate for years. The rest of the folks are well – much better than in Michigan. It is very interesting here but I leave tomorrow for home. My church granted me a leave of absence with pay as long as I needed to stay but my work called me home. Hope you are well. We send love. Linet

I work tonight till 9 o’clock. How are Beulah and Dick? Won’t be long till spring is here will it? I expect to go down to Moody’s Tabernacle tomorrow night with the cousins. Must close. Write.
